Dr. Stacey Lynn is the founder of ExEd Advocates (Exceptional Education Advocates), where she helps families navigate the special education system with confidence and achieve better outcomes for their children.
With a Ph.D. in Psychology, an M.Ed. in Special Education, and an M.S. in Counseling, Stacey brings over 20 years of experience as a special education teacher to her advocacy work. Throughout her career, she wrote and implemented hundreds of IEPs, collaborated with diverse families, and developed deep expertise in special education law, instructional strategies, and effective advocacy within school systems. Fluent in American Sign Language, she is deeply committed to communication accessibility and inclusive education.
Stacey's perspective is uniquely informed by her dual role as both an educator and a parent. As the mother of a daughter with a connective tissue condition, she understands intimately the challenges families face when navigating the system from the parent's seat. Her daughter graduated with her GED at 16 in May 2025 and will begin community college in January 2026—proof of what's possible with the right support and advocacy.
Stacey is also a Certified Health Coach, Certified Holistic Coach, Certified Yoga Instructor, and Certified Mindful Educator. She is the author of Lotus Rising, a memoir exploring her journey through the roles of daughter, sister, aunt, wife, and mother.

ExEd Advocates (Exceptional Education Advocates) provides specialized support for families navigating special education and homeschooling. Whether you're fighting for appropriate services in a school setting or creating a customized education at home, we offer the expertise, resources, and compassionate guidance you need.
What makes us different? We bring a unique perspective that few advocates can offer. With over 20 years as a special education teacher, combined with personal experience as a parent of a child with special needs and years of successful homeschooling, we understand the system from every angle—and we know when it's time to work within it and when it's time to create a better patth outside of it.
We're not just about fighting for services. We're about finding what actually works for your child and supporting your family's wellbeing throughout the process.
